MY COMMITMENT
At the core of my being, I truly believe that everyone has value and a purpose in their human journey. There is no exception in my belief in regards to race, gender, abilities and sexual orientation. Every person has value and the right to be treated in a way that embraces them, empowers their voices to be heard and their contributions to be recognized. I acknowledge that in our world this has not been true for many people and it is time to ignite that change. Through the lens of RE:VISION, the following commitments will be upheld.
As a steward of this work, RE:VISION is committed to:
Continuous learning from a place of curiosity through reading, listening, and engaging in conversation for the purpose of personal and professional growth to activate and advocate for change in the systemic processes that have been rooted in this country to oppress BIPOC.
Using its voice in direct and compassionate ways to invite vulnerable conversations to support healing and advocacy.
Being willing to lean in and get uncomfortable for the purpose of participating in the dismantling of the oppressive systems that exist and so that team members are open to growth from within and as leaders in the community.
Supporting BIPOC businesses by purchasing from them as well as connecting them with clients.
Working with BIPOC educators and consultants to support RE:VISION’s and our client’s commitments toward building anti-racist organizations with effective diversity, inclusion and equity practices built into our foundation.
Allocating monthly donations to organizations that support meeting BIPOC needs and initiatives.
These are some of the ways in which RE:VISION is currently committed to contributing to building better businesses and in turn stronger and more equitable communities. We will continue to become further educated and seek out more ways to sustainably support our commitment.
